Privacy Policy — N V Education

N V Education ("we", "us", "our") operates the website nveducation.co.in (the "Site"). This page explains what information the Site collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

N V Education is an educational YouTube channel and companion website providing free and low-cost study material for Class 10 WBBSE students. You can reach us at nveducationofficial@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Most of the Site can be used without an account. A free account is needed only to take tests and to post in the Community. We keep the information we collect to a minimum:

Anonymous visit counts. A third-party counter service records a running total of page visits. It does not collect names, IP addresses, or any way to identify individual visitors.
Account information. If you create an account we collect your name, your email address and a password. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google service); we never see or store your password.
Community posts. Questions and answers you post in the Community are stored together with the name on your account. They are shown publicly only after a teacher has reviewed and approved them. Your email address is never shown publicly. Please do not include phone numbers, addresses, school names or other personal details in a post.
Test/quiz activity. Quizzes on the Site run entirely in your own browser. Your answers and scores are not sent to or stored on our servers unless a page on the Site clearly states otherwise (for example, if a future feature asks for your name before a test, that will be explained on that page at the time).
Contact details you send us. If you email us, message us on Telegram, or comment on YouTube, we see whatever information you choose to share in that message.

3. Payments

Some content (such as certain notes) may require a small one-time payment. Payments are handled directly through UPI or a third-party payment provider (such as Razorpay). We do not collect or store your card, bank, or UPI account details — that information is handled entirely by your UPI app or the payment provider, not by this Site.

4. Third-party services we use

To keep the Site free and simple, we rely on a few outside services. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:

YouTube (Google). The Videos page automatically pulls public video information from our YouTube channel using the YouTube Data API. This only involves public video data, not your personal information.
Google Drive. Question papers and notes (PDFs) are hosted on Google Drive and open in a new tab when you click them.
Netlify. The Site is hosted on Netlify, which may log basic technical data (like server requests) as part of standard web hosting.
Google Firebase. Firebase Authentication handles sign-in, and Cloud Firestore stores the study content managed through our admin panel and the Community posts.
Amazon Associates (affiliate links). The Recommended page contains affiliate links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases: if you click a link and buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may set its own cookies when you follow such a link — see Amazon's privacy notice for details.
Visit counter service. As noted above, used only for an anonymous total visit count shown in the footer.

5. Advertising

The Site may show advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses this data, and manage your ad preferences, at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

6. Cookies

The Site itself does not use cookies to track you. Third-party services embedded on the Site (such as YouTube, Amazon when you follow an affiliate link, or, if enabled, Google AdSense) may set their own cookies as described in their respective privacy policies. To work properly the Site also keeps small items in your browser's local storage: your light/dark mode choice, your login session (through Firebase) and a temporary copy of site content so pages load faster. These are not used to track you.

7. Community and moderation

The Community is a space for students to help each other with study doubts. Every question and answer is reviewed by an administrator before it is shown. We may edit or remove any post that breaks the community rules or shares personal information, and we may close accounts that misuse the Community. To have your own post or account removed, email us at the address below.

8. Children's privacy

This Site is designed for Class 10 students, many of whom are minors. Creating an account and using the Community are optional. We ask only for a name and an email address, and we advise students to use their first name or a nickname and never to share phone numbers, addresses, school names or other personal details. Community posts are reviewed by a teacher before they appear. Parents or guardians can contact us at any time to ask us to remove an account or any post, using the details below.

9. Data security

We take reasonable steps to keep the Site safe, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We do not ask for, and you should never need to share, sensitive information like passwords or bank details directly on this Site.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Site grows. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date above.
